The 2010 First Boston Savings Robbery was an armed? robbery of the First? Boston Savings Bank by? Doug MacRay, James Coughlin, Albert Magloan, and Desmond Elden, some of the most notorious bank robbers from Charlestown. They got the money, but barely escaped.

The robbers in their van dressed up as nuns, wearing plastic masks and nun robes. They robbed an armored car parked outside of the bank, nabbing $5,000 from there. But soon, the police were alerted of a 10-61 in progress, so the robbers did not get a chance to get into the bank. They drove away in their van, leaving one guard dead and one incapacitated. They used drive-by shooting tactics to hold off the police, and they made it over the bridge before Dino Ciampa could order the bridge to be closed, making it out barely.
