Armando Torres is a Dominican-American drug pusher and a colleague of nightclub bouncer Luis "Captain Downtown Louie" Lopez, who sometimes worked with Armando and Henrique "Rique" Bardas in their drug raids against other gangs.
Biography[]
Torres was born in Inwood to Diego Torres and Maria Samubaca, two Dominican parents. They grew up in the bustling streets of the barrio in the neighborhood, and made close friends in Luis "Captain Downtown Louie" Lopez and Henrique "Rique" Bardas, and they went to school together, and got into trouble together. While Luis Lopez headed to Downtown Manhattan for work with Anthony "Gay Tony" Prince, they remained in the Upper Manhattan area and were associated with Guillermo "Willy" Valerio's organization. With the reasonable one out of the crew, Torres was the muscle to make up for Henrique's lack of intelligence, as he was borderline r*****ed.
They reunited occasionally, and in 2008, they narrowly escaped a busted drug deal with Claudio "Papi" Palacios and another one where they were intercepted while picking up a shipment of cocaine by the Irish Mob. They worked together in ambushing drug convoys, raiding stashes and deals, and other missions to enhance their drug empire.
