Arturo Donato was an American gangster who was a member of Peter Clemenza's crew.
Biography[]
Donato was an associate in the Corleone crime family, running the Grand Apartments hotel in Little Italy. He was a member of Paulie Gatto's sub-crew of the Clemenza Crew, and made friends with Angelo Dello, informing him that Gatto was sick and was taking leave, and Donato was the acting leader of Gatto's gang in December 1945.
Donato was loyal to Clemenza until the end, when the Rosato Brothers kidnapped him in February 1959 following Clemenza's death. Carmine Rosato had his soldier Jimmy Guidalatto kill him with a pistol execution.
