Barzini Compound

Barzini Compound, 1945

The Barzini Compound was a building owned by Emilio Barzini, home to the Barzini Compound. It was modeled after Hollywood director Jack Woltz's home, and was situated in Central Park, Midtown, New York. In 1955, it was bombed and replaced by a Corleone-owned compound.

History[]

Barzini built his compound using Jack Woltz's Los Angeles mansion as a model. Barzini's mansion was located in the wealthy neighborhood of Midtown, Manhattan, and was guarded by dozens of Soldati. The compound was the home of Barzini and many of his made men, and was a vital safehouse for the Barzini enforcers on the street. In 1955, the compound was bombed by the Trapani crime family Don Aldo Trapani after the murder of Emilio Barzini, and it was rebuilt as a Corleone base in Midtown. It was attacked four times before it fell.
