History[]

The Crips were founded in 1969 by Raymond Washington and Stanley Williams in Los Angeles, two African-American street hoodlums who created the world's most dangerous gang. The Crips had 800 chapters across the USA and in other countries, due to some US soldiers being Crips members. They have 30,000-65,000 members, and two of their most powerful sets are the Ganton Crips and the Piru Street Families. The states with the most Crips are California, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas.
They are the archenemy of the Bloods gang, a rival gang that have thousands of people. The Crips are also enemies with various Mexican street gangs, while they are allied to quite a few as well; they are allies with the La Raza Nation and Surenos, but are enemies with the Netas and Nortenos. The Crips were involved in the L.A. Riots of 1992-1993, fighting against the LAPD's abuse of African-Americans in the city.
