Darrin Hilger was a New York City criminal who led the Warehouse Gang.
Biography[]
Darrin Hilger was a crime boss from New York City, leading a gang in Greenwich Village (then called "Greenwich") in the 1750s. Hope Jensen forced his gang to pledge allegiance to her, and Hilger was one of her associates. In June 1756, Hilger was killed by Shay Cormac, who hunted him down to his headquarters after he attempted to extort money from the old Finnegan couple by force. Hilger was shot three times in the back with Shay's pistols, killing him, and his headquarters was taken over.
