Dino DeMantagna was a Neapolitan barber and associate of the Corleone crime family.
Biography[]
Demantagna owned DeMantagna's Barber Shop on Mott Street, giving his kick-backs to Tattaglia Soldato Mikey Saleri. DeMantagna refused to pay the Corleones after 1945's Little Italy War when the Tattaglias took over the neighborhood, but Corleone Soldato Ricardo Baratta sent Aldo Trapani to go to the business and tell the old immigrant to start paying the Corleones, telling him he might get a free haircut. DeMantagna was beaten up by Luca Brasi and Trapani until he agreed to pay the Corleones. In December he was gunned down by Tattaglias in a drive-by on his shop, where Marty Malone and Trapani were hanging out, but recovered and resumed business.
