Mafia hierarchy

A Don, also known as the Boss, is the head of a Mafia family, as opposed to gangs or societies. The title originated in the Sicilian Mafia, with Don meaning "sir". The Don is like the Emperor of their clan, and make the decisions, although the Underboss is the one who gives the orders. The Don is more of a figurehead, while the Capos carry out everthing he orders. Famous bosses include Vito Corleone, Carlo Gambino, Albert Anastasia, Vito Genovese, Salvatore Leone, Hyman Roth, and Emilio Barzini.
