James Scaleri was a Underboss later Don of the O'Donnell Mob also the younger brother of Carlos Scaleri and Raymond "Ray" Scaleri and older brother of Earl Scaleri. The two brothers were assassinated in 1948. James was alongside his older brother Ray Scaleri.
Biography[]
James and his brothers Carlos Scaleri, Raymond "Ray" Scaleri and Earl Scaleri were born brothers in Chicago, Illinois in 1897, 1905, 1906 and 1914. The four became mob enforcers under the Chicago Outfit's O'Donnell Mob puppets, and worked as hitmen for boss Patrick O'Donnell. In the 1940s they served a jail sentence for their murders before they headed to New York City with the family. James and Ray released but Carlos and Earl died in prison. When they were released, they planned to get revenge for the murder of Patrick by Aldo Trapani.
Death[]
The Scaleri brothers drove a truck around Columbus Circle in Midtown, leaving to fight against the Stracci crime family. Trapani reached them before they could attack the Straccis and the two died in one explosive, dying together at same split-second.
