The Joker's Gang was a mob syndicate which was a part of organised crime syndicate known as the Cuneo crime family. It counted as one of the most dangerous and powerful gangs of New York, specifically the Gothic and Victorian parts.
History[]
After his escape from Arkham Asylum on Long Eyeland, the criminal mastermind Phillip Cuneo Jr., aka The Joker, created his own gang which would pledge allegiance to his family which he lead. The Joker was quite the charmer at the Asylum and managed to convince his gf, Harley Queen to join him, along with Gerald Tech, Jesse Lynch and Killer Moth, who would serve as his capos.
Mayer Cobblepot, Riddler and the Joker planned together to escape from the Arkham loony bin by bombing it and succeeded. Joker called for his goon to arrive with his chopper, but he threw his lame Soldier out and gestured for his men and gf to climb aboard. Jesse tauntingly waved back at the soldier who tried to climb back to the chopper via a ladder, only to get slammed into a building when Joker flew off.
Joker and his crew soon arrived to his base at Cuneo Mansion in the basement, where Gerald, Jesse and Moth were playing blackjack and poker. When Joker summoned the trio over to show them his plan of destroying the entire New York with his poisonous waste and gas (plus fart gas), they all agreed with it. When Harley came and said that there is no more toxic waste to create said gas, Joker send Gerald (aka Mad Hatter) to... Ace Chemicals to get him some more toxic. The place where Phillip was reborn into the Jocker. However, the rich guy Bruce Ultor, who doesn't wanna let Joker and his cronies destroy the city as its where he gets his income from, arrives with his sidekick to Ace Chemicals in his bat costume to fight the Mad Hatter. Hatter arrives on stage after pushing his own soldato down the vat of chemicals and fights the duo. However, Batman (Bruce) exploits his hat weakness when he puts it over his eyes, making Gerald not be able to see anything. Robin (his sidekick) and Batman then throw him out of the plant and the NYPD comes to handcuff the unseeing Hatter.
When Batman goes into his hero plane called the Batwing, he gets a massage on his g-mail from the Don Cuneo himself, the Joker. He and Harley show the Bat a video of a captured commissioner Jim Gordon at Joker's Big Top, where Joker admits that they plan on torturing him and killing him. This enrages the Bat and him and Robby head to Big Top Tent to shave the commissioner. At the circus, they are attacked by more Cuneo soldiers and henchmen. After coming to the big mouth where commissioner is imprisoned, Joker orders Harley to attack the duo with his mime and clown minions (Cuneo soldiers), but they are all defeated, including Harley. When Batman opens Gordon's cage, Harley gets arrested while Joker escapes on his chopper. Batman sees his hunt for the Jolly clown is not over yet.
While flying over New York City with their respective aerial vehicles, Robin gets spooked by Jesse Lynch (aka the Scarecrow) in his biplane. Jesse drops a green bomb unto the Batwing, making Batman spin, but this just proved that the two now must face off against Cuneo soldiers and Jesse Lynch above NYC. After Batman throws some bat-bombs into Scarecrow's bisexual biplane, Jesse manages to crash with his plane directly into the incoming Joker's chopper. Bruce leaves the two Cuneos for dead, but they manage to escape using air balloons.
Joker and Scarecrow fall into the New York's Jefferson memorial gallery, where they are ambushed by SWAT and snipers. Using his elector-shock buzzer while Jesse used his fear dust, the two managed to defeat every obstacle in their way, including hypnotising a janitor to do their biding, thanks to Scarecrow's hypno-techniques. However, once they came to the warehouse, a policeman, using a giant crane, managed to grab Jesse and capture him. Joker, being the psycho that he is, just laughed at Jesse's misfortune and fled the warehouse, but not before gassing a copper that planned on arresting him as well.
Joker was out on the streets of New York, where he met up with Killer Moth, his remaining underling. Together, the two fought their way, with some help of the soldiers, through NYC to the New York Cathedral, where Joker planned on releasing his gas and toxic bombs to kill the entire city, if not state. While Joker went to the cathedral, Moth stood behind when he got possessed by Batwing's light. Bruce and Robin chased after an escaping Moth, who send a bunch of goons after the two, butt they were all defeated. After arriving to Killer Moth's hideout, which was a warehouse with a giant lightbulb inside, the two fought the Moth and defeated him, using his own bulb against him. Moth begged the two for mercy, but Bruce said that no one messed with his city and planned to beat him some more, but Drury (the Moth) told the two where Joker was hiding, at the Cathedral. Moth was spared a fate worse than he could ever imagine at Robin's hands and was taken into custody as well.
Joker was now alone with his soldiers and mime minions, but Batman and Tobin had to be quick on his tail, for he could release his poisonous waste any second now. Batman and Robin managed to beat up and off all of his goons and clowns, but Joker ran to the top floor of the church and there his machinery laid. The big machine which would release all of the poison he had in nearby barrels into the city - Bruce would have none of this. After beating him some, Joker fled to a platform and called for his Cuneo soldier to show up with a chopper and start shooting at the rich boy. Batman threw his batarang into the Cuneo soldier's gun and he dropped it, leaving him defenceless. Robin then jumped at the Clown and managed to throw him out of the cathedral. Batman followed suite and the trio dangled for their lives over a gargoyle. Joker just laughed and laughed and asked the gargoyle what he was looking at while his goon lowered the chopper to pick him up. But just then, Batman pulled out another batarang with one hand and threw it at the Joker's face, causing him to release the gargoyle and plummet down many feet to his death. Robin and Batman managed to grab an obstacle while they were falling, thus they survived.
After Joker's death, Batman was charged with manslaughter despite just defending his life because the Joker was the main ally of the Ballas, who had the NYCPD in their pocket. Robin was left alone as he represented little threat to the Ballas, but Bruce managed to avoid any type of punishment as well due to his wealthy connections with the court, thus he walked out a free man, much to Ballas' chagrin.
Aftermath[]
It was later revealed that Gerald Tech, Jesse Lynch, Harley and Killer were all declared batshit insane and legally insane, thus were send back to the asylum, but not Arkham this time, since that loony bin is not at all suitable for crazies like them, but Dixmor Asylum in West Virginia, where the maddest criminals from all over the country end up.
Mad Hatter was given his own table, tea and a pet rabbit to reincarnate his role from Alice in the Wonderland, Scarecrow was put on a stake like an actual scarecrow and had some ravens released into his cell where they would sit on him and chirp. He would also have a bust on a shelf which would one day be forced to fall down so he could relate to Edgar Allan Poe's novel The Raven. Killer Moth would have a long lightbulb on a wire in his cell which he would stare at day and night, since he believed he was an actual Lepidoptera and Harley... well, she would get posters of a naked Don Cuneo Jr. in her room so she could get herself off.
None of these have escaped yet.
