The LaConti crime family was a family of the Sicilian Mafia that controlled Hell's Kitchen from 1915 to 1933, when the Mariposa crime family murdered the boss, Rosario LaConti.

History Edit

The LaConti crime family was from Paceco, a large city in Sicily. Rosario LaConti moved the organization to America in 1929, hoping to make a mint out of bootlegging. The LaConti family prospered in New York City, but lost their power after Prohibition ended. The LaConti family came into rivalry with the rival Mariposa crime family, which was allied to the Maranzano crime family. The Mariposas killed Rosario after killing the Underboss, Jake LaConti.
