Peter Paul "Paulie Walnuts" Gualtieri (born July 29, 1942) is an American mobster and a member of the DiMeo crime family. Gualtieri is a longtime member of the organization, serving under Capo Johnny Soprano for many years, and under his son and successor Tony as well. He held the rank of Underboss from 2000 to 2006, and is presently the capo of both the Soprano and Aprile Crews.

Peter Paul Gualtieri was born on July 29, 1942 in Newark, New Jersey, to Dorothy "Dottie" Irpino. His biological mother, a nun in training, had had an affair with a soldier enlisting for World War II named "Russ" while volunteering . To hide the family shame, Gualtieri was legally adopted by his maternal aunt Maria Nuccia and her husband Gennaro; he would later die in 1950 after being run over by a trolleytruck. Gualtieri was a troubled youth in school and at age nine was sent to a correctional center for hitting a classmate over the head with a baseball bat.
